Healthy Minds

Many schools are unaware of the impact that mental health and character development have on their students. Teachers often do not implement social and emotional learning into their curriculum because they are unaware, need training, or lack empathy. Our organization began in New Orleans, Louisiana when we noticed how charter and public school students received their education compared to private school children after volunteering at various schools. We strongly believe that all children deserve an equal educational experience. Mental health should always come first and is crucial for success in the classroom.

We decided it was crucial for all teachers and school faculty to be trained in teaching social and emotional learning. Healthy Minds works with all faculty through training programs for the implementation of social and emotional learning within the school systems. Through our training programs, we offer various workshops and teach class activities that promote social and emotional learning. Any donation goes toward running these programs. We appreciate all motivated faculty that get involved.
